Is the earth flat? Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, says it is, and that those who say otherwise are lying to us. It’s not clear who “they” are; presumably scientists and politicians. “This is not even a conspiracy theory,” he says. “The earth is flat.” (

Obviously this is a minority view. But being in the minority doesn’t mean you are wrong. What if he’s right? What if scientists’ claim that the earth is round (spherical, to be more precise) is not true? What if the supposed scientific consensus about it is a well-constructed conspiracy designed to make us more controllable by the government? Those images supposedly taken from space could easily have been faked. Today’s reported launch by SpaceX of a private-enterprise rocket carrying supplies to the International Space Station is classic “fake news.” There is no International Space Station, let alone a spaceship carrying supplies to it.

Ever watch “The Truman Show”? Think of it as a metaphorical documentary.

Think about it. This supposedly scientific theory about the shape of the world is brought to us by the same people who are foisting climate change on us, despite contrary studies funded by Exxon-Mobile. The same people who claim that smoking cigarettes is harmful to our health, despite many studies provided by the tobacco companies that dispute the claim. This is the same people who claim we sent men to the moon, when there is a ton of evidence (google it) demonstrating that the whole Apollo thing was a hoax. These are the same people who sold us on the idea that the earth is not the center of the universe, ignoring clear evidence from the Bible and from Ptolemy, who provided a perfectly reasonable system capable of explaining the universe with the earth at its center, a system that stood for a thousand years before Galileo and friends decided they needed a way to topple the authority of the Church and chose the Ptolemaic System as their tool. The same people who invented the theory of evolution and crammed that down our throats. The same people who gave us the dinosaurs; mythical creatures that no one has ever actually seen.

Why does it matter? It matters because it all comes down to the controlled and the controllers. The primary way the powers that be control us is through disinformation. They create fake realities, and then use it to manipulate us to their own ends. Don’t be fooled. The purveyors of fake facts are deadly serious, and they are very good at what they do.

What can you do to protect yourself from this relentless onslaught of disinformation and blatant propaganda designed to undermine reality? There are some websites that will help you identify these attacks on reason and common sense. The two I recommend are Infowars and Breitbart. They will alert you to the most egregious false claims made by the politicians and the scientists today, and will explain why you should be skeptical. Infowars, for example, was the first (and only) site to report that the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre in which 20 children were gunned down, was fake news, filmed by the government using actors. If you didn’t read InfoWars, you would make the mistake of thinking children really were killed.
